Objective:
To ensure equitable access to natural resources including land, waterbodies, forests etc. and property rights of marginalized population and promote appropriate land reformation with transparent and modernized land management system.
Strategies:
- Identification and recovery of Khasland and waterbodies
- Policy advocacy for land law reformation
- Identification and develop data base of actual landless
- Collaboration with government for distributing Khasland and waterbodies to the landless and marginalized farmer.
- Promote land digitization and capacity building to relevant authorities by the help of government
Major actions:
- Institution building of landless and marginalized farmer groups
- Capacity building on claiming public land and water bodies based on existing laws and procedure
- Collaboration with different stakeholders related to land distribution, i.e Khasland Settlement and Management Committee at Upazila and District level.
- Legal aid for recovery and land retention
- Capital support and capacity building for land utilization
- Research, draft policy formulation and advocacy with local and national level rigorously.
- Software development and its management
- Networking and alliance with national and international civil society actors.
